The Lewmar AXIS is an electric shallow water anchor.  Unlike the electric Talon anchor made by Minn Kota, this new boat anchor by Lewmar offers the down-and-away functionality you get with the Power-Pole and Raptor anchors without the hydraulic fluid and pump system.  This electric anchor is great for guys with a small boat with no place to install a hydraulic pump (or two).  If you are looking for a lightweight electric boat anchor, you might want to check out the products by Lewmar.  Currently only available in the 8FT model.

The Lewmar Vector is a manual shallow water anchor.  It has the same overall design as the Lewmar AXIS, but is deployed and stowed manually.  This manual functionality helps to reduce weight and eliminates the possibility of having troubles on the water that you could potentially have with the electric or hydraulic anchors on the market.
